An Artist's Labor [Pencil Still-Life]

Ironically, this is pretty much how I felt when trying to complete this pencil drawing!
This is the first out of two art pieces I was assigned to complete; one would be drawn as a traditional still-life (this one), and the other would be drawn as an abstracted version of that still-life (still working on that one lol ).
Depicted here is an artist's fate. Their bare skull imprisons their ideas and aspirations, which will never become known to the world. The world moves on, while they lay forgotten by a world that never saw them.
